When the instrument you need does not exist, we build it

Research institutes, medical device developers, and scientific programs regularly require instruments that no manufacturer offers off the shelf. The Assessimus network designs and builds custom nuclear instrumentation, high-voltage pulse generators, multi-channel analyzers, and complete electronic assemblies, engineered to your exact specification from first schematic to finished system.

Challenges in medical and research

The instrument does not exist in any catalog

Research programs often define the measurement before the instrument. The energy range, detector interface, or pulse specification is too specific for any commercial product to satisfy without modification that amounts to a full custom design.

Measurement accuracy is the result

In research and diagnostic medicine, there is no tolerance for imprecision. The instrument must meet its specification exactly, because the measurement is the experiment, and a miscalibrated system produces wrong science.

Low volume, high specification

Research programs rarely need production quantities. They need one instrument, or a small number, that works exactly as specified, a requirement that eliminates most commercial suppliers.

Long-term support and hardware revision

Research programs run for years. Instruments need to be maintainable, with hardware revisions possible when components are discontinued, rather than replaced entirely when one part becomes unavailable.

The Assessimus network's custom electronics specialist is structured specifically for low-volume, high-specification work. Projects begin with a specification review and feasibility confirmation, move through prototype development and client review, and are then produced in the required quantity, whether that is one unit or a small research series. Production documentation and component sourcing records are maintained to support future hardware revisions and component substitution over the instrument's service life.

Yes. Long-term support, including hardware revisions when components are discontinued, firmware updates for new measurement requirements, and production of additional units to the original specification, is part of the engagement model for custom instrument projects. Research programs change, and the instruments should be able to change with them.
